Mako Robotic Arm Surgery at Saint Francis Hospital-Memphis

Knee and hip problems don’t have to hold you back: There’s a minimally invasive option to help relieve knee and hip pain. Saint Francis Hospital-Memphis is the first in Memphis to offer the Mako partial and total knee applications.

Mako Robotic-Arm Assisted Surgery is a minimally invasive joint replacement surgery technique for adults with early to mid-stage osteoarthritis. Mako is performed using an advanced, surgeon-controlled robotic arm system. This system enables the surgeon to create a customized surgery plan that includes optimized implant positioning using a CT scan of the patient’s knee. During the surgery, the surgeon uses feedback from the robotic arm to make real-time adjustments for a more accurate and successful surgery.
