James W. Blatchford, III, MD is a graduate of Duke University and the Duke University Schol of Medicine. He completed his residency in General Surgery at the Yale University School of Medicine and a fellowship in Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas (Parkland Memorial Hospital). Dr. Blatchford is the author of numerous scientific papers in his field as well as in the history of surgery.
