Kira Cooley, MD, is a dedicated, board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist with two decades of experience. She specializes in women’s gynecologic care and is currently accepting new patients.
Dr. Cooley brings a unique perspective to her patients, having served as both a nurse and a doctor throughout her career. She attended the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Nursing, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Later, she attended medical school at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
Currently, she serves as the Obstetrics/Gynecology Chair at Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett and as a member of the Medical Executive Committee at Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett. She previously held the position of the Surgery Department Chair at Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett. Dr. Cooley is also a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the National Medical Association.

I have been the running joke for my family and friends for years because I have to constantly use the restroom,, all the time. My blessings began with speaking with Janelle scheduling my appointment who was so caring. From the moment I walked in everyone was fantastic! The lady who checked me in, Jessica who took my vitals, etc were so kind. Dr. Cooley and the team work well together. Dr. Cooley is a very kind and caring professional MD who listened to me and showed she cared. The lady who was with her during my examination was kind and helped make my visit less stressful as possible. Jessica called me with my lab results that were back. I am truly grateful for Dr. Cooley. The Lord answered my prayers and provided me with such a wonderful, knowledgeable MD. She finally provided answers to what has been happening with me. I am grateful!

Dr. Cooley is nothing short of amazing, I feel way beyond blessed to have found her. I've suffered from anemia for almost 8 years now have had other OBGYN doctors and no one could ever find out why or put much effort into trying to fix it besides giving me iron pills. She was on top of it immediately, told me my options and got me into surgery within a couple of weeks of finding out. Since my surgery my irons levels have gone for being in the 8s to now 13.6. There are no words to express how grateful I am for her. I will follow her wherever she goes I couldn't ever see myself without her as my doctor.

At this appointment specifically, Dr. Cooley was good at answering a concern of mine as my delivery date approaches with my second child. She was very open and honest with what to expect - no sugar coating which I love. I informed them of my issue that I've had at other places and they ensured that I was in great hands. they eased my mind of all of the negative things I had due to past situations. They solved my problem without hesitation! Erika made me laugh when I got nervous. Her jokes kept me calm and made me feel secure in my decision of scheduling an appointment there.

My blood pressure reading seemed quite high to me, and I expressed my concerns to the nurse. She said she would retake it for me after my exam was over. She never appeared again to speak with me and even after my exam was over, it was even Dr. Cooley who had to come back by and let me know I was good to go.
