Prior to my 11am appointment, I had driven 6 1/2 hours from Atlanta during the night specifically for this appointment , and had been awake for 24 hours. I was treated with extra care and I truly appreciate that all staff involved gave deference to my unique situation. I was overly tired and likely didn't make much sense during this visit!

As a nurse myself, I prefer to see a NP as they not only relate well to patients, however, in addition they truly LISTEN to their patients vs a physician who's time allotted to each patient can be less than 5 minutes!

I suggested to the MA a more accurate way in which she should hold the patient's arm when obtaining a blood pressure based on a recent published study. I had to have lab work done and the lab tech was out to lunch, so I was asked to either wait a few minutes or return when convenient for me. when I returned later, I had no wait. The lab technician was pleasant and efficient. it was the first time in 70 years that the blood draw was totally painless!
